JAMES A. WHITE, CPA
Principal – Tax & Accounting Services
Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Central Michigan University. Jim began his accounting career with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (which later became Deloitte LLP), one of the top 4 accounting and consulting firms in the US and internationally. Jim has over 30 years of tax experience in working with high net worth individuals, partnerships and closely held corporations.
NHAN Q. VUONG, CPA, CVA
Principal – Tax & Business Valuation Services
Nhan is a Certified Public Accountant and accredited in business valuation by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Before joining FHWV, he worked for BDO Seidman, a top 10 US accounting firm. Nhan has over 20 years of accounting, tax, business valuation, and business advisory experience.
MELVIN JAY, CPA
Principal – Tax & Accounting Services
Melvin is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of California State University, Long Beach and a recipient of the California Society of CPAs’ Distinguished Service Award. Melvin has over 30 years of tax and audit experience in working with small to mid-size closely held businesses, partnerships, and exempt organizations.
LINH X. VUONG
Principal – Transaction Advisory Services
Linh is a graduate of UCSD and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has served in advisory roles assisting high-net-worth individuals, middle-market business owners, private equity firms and corporate acquirers. His expertise includes wealth management, M&A advisory, capital raising, business value creation, exit planning, and business and corporate transactions. Prior to joining FHWV, Linh was a partner of a financial planning and wealth management group for 15 years at Smith Barney (acquired by Morgan Stanley) and a licensed M&A advisor. Linh is a is Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC Member FINRA/SIPC.

HISTORY
1952 – Robbins & Lake was formed through a partnership between Kenneth Lake and Lowell Robbins. Ken and Lowell formed their partnership shortly after graduating from UCLA and established their CPA practice in Huntington Beach.

​1992 – Robbins & Lake was acquired by Fleischmann & Holmes upon the retirement of Ken and Lowel. Fleishmann & Holmes' principals, Jim Holmes and Steve Fleishmann both graduated from California State University, Long Beach. Jim worked at Arthur Andersen and Steve worked at Balser Horowitz Frank & Wakeling before partnering in 1988 to form Fleishmann & Holmes.

2005 – Fleischmann & Holmes merged with Aluran Partners, forming FHBV. Aluran Partners' principal, Nhan Vuong, graduated from Chapman University and worked at BDO Seidman prior to forming his own CPA and business consulting firm. FHBV continued to expand its staff and moved its headquarters to Los Alamitos.

2007 – FHBV acquired the practice of retiring CPA, Theodore Strawn, a UCLA graduate and CPA in the Long Beach area for over 30 years.

2013 – FHBV merged with the CPA practice of James White. Jim is a graduate of Central Michigan University and began his accounting career with Deloitte prior to forming his own CPA firm.

2016 – FHBV changed its name to Fleischmann Holmes White & Vuong, LLP (FHWV).

2024 – Became FHWV.
